Sydney's Royal Easter Show 2007

Sydney's Royal Easter Show is an institution. I think every state and territory in Australia has its own Show which betray Australia's farming roots. Back home, the agricultural shows aren't exactly what you'd call big draws for anyone not dressed in tweed and wellies, but the Easter Show in Sydney was an eye-opener for me and John. We'd heard what a fun time Mikey, Beth, and co. had had in 2006, so I didn't want to miss it, although practically everyone we invited to join us rolled their eyes and said, "er, no thanks... I've been before" and warned us to be prepared for the great, fat, ugly unwashed of New South Wales and their unenviable offspring.

Nevertheless, with a spring in our step, we headed off to see what it was all about.
